How to Choose A Poppy Session

Whether you're injured or rehabbing an injury, or in a strengthening and performance-focused phase, Poppy has sessions to help you achieve your goals.


Athletes New to Poppy

Are you injured or experiencing pain?

Book a Movement Screening. You'll receive a personalized assessment of your range of motion and functional movement capacity. You'll also gain actionable insights into enhancing mobility, strength, and overall wellness, along with a recommendation from your Poppy Provider of whether a Physical Therapy or Performance Training session would be the best next step.

Note: Poppy offers a Combined Movement Screening + Physical Therapy session for athletes who know they're injured and want to jump right into treatment (currently only available in-person).


Are you a runner experiencing pain or wanting to prevent injury?

Book a Running Gait Analysis. This is a focused, treadmill-based 'movement screening' for runners. You'll receive actionable insights into areas for running form improvement and exercises to correct your form, enhance your performance, and prevent injury.

Note: Poppy offers a Combined Running Gait Analysis + Physical Therapy session for athletes who know they're injured and want to jump right into treatment (currently only available in-person).


Returning Athletes

Are you injured or experiencing pain?

Book a Physical Therapy Session for injury diagnosis, hands-on treatment, and a recovery plan provided by one of Poppy's expert physical therapists.

This session can include soft tissue work, cupping, Graston (scraping), and other techniques to promote healing and recovery. Each session builds on previous sessions and adapts to your evolving needs as an athlete.


Are you located outside of the SF Bay Area?

Book a Virtual Session that you can take from anywhere. These sessions are also a great way to 'bring' your Poppy Provider to your gym or show them your routine to get the most personalized recommendations. These can include a reassessment of your strength and mobility and a review of your program to see if any adjustments need to be made.


Are you a runner starting your next training block, or amping up your mileage?

Book a Running Gait Analysis. We recommend a gait analysis at the start of every new build. You'll receive actionable insights into areas for running form improvement and exercises to correct your form, enhance your performance, and prevent injury.
